It's not often in a season that we can boast of beating both Man U and Chelski in the space of a month. But before we start buying into all that "back in the race" crap, I think what we need is a little balance and perspective.
It would seem that the team that has benefitted most from the intermittent sparkles from Arse is Liverpool. And until we also whip Pool when we meet, then I can't see how on earth we're going to get back in the race. The only point we have made thus far is our ability to raise our game for the big ones, and how we can't seem to find anything for the games against Stoke, Hull, Fulham, City and Aston Villa.
And you know what that means? Perfect form for the Champions League!
I hope Le Boss has got his thinking cap on, coz that's the only way I see how we're going to salvage this season.
But what a start for Cap'n Cesc.
So is the Arsewiper back for real? I dunno. It feels less painful writing about Arse games, and for a while, the game last night was same-old same-old. But fingers crossed, and in time, the Arsewiper will be writing from closer to the Emirates too.
