Hum drum hum drum hum

Only little bits and pieces about today.

First, gotta take a look at this little piece from the Times. Basically says what I said in my post earlier, but probably in starker and less emotional terms. No words left to describe UEFA than "sad"; and it'll get sadder when they deal with our appeal.

Second, looks like Romano Bloody Bitch (RBB) has chanced upon some good luck. FIFA have banned Chelski from making any new signings till 2011; which, given how RBB has shrunk drastically in his transfer profile this year, gives him more excuse not to spend any money during the coming two transfer windows. Funny how it all screwed up over someone nobody outside Stamford Bridge and Lens had ever heard of.

Third, after all the non-happenings in the transfer market, it does seem that Senderos will be staying with us. A bit surprising, but I don't really mind. Sure beats Silvestre, and if we bring his confidence back to 2006 levels, then it could work for us and him (in the longer term). Denilson and Bent Nick have been given new contracts too, which is nice for the boys. This season must really be the best opportunity for the taller boy to take a giant step forward. Hey, with Ed out of Standard Liege and Olympiacos, what better time to stamp your mark in the Champions League?

I hate these international breaks. Bloody nothing in midweek, silly international games at the weekend...urgh. Later.
