Captain Fantastic - A Tribute, Part I

On this slow day, I thought I should launch today a little tribute to Captain Fantastic. He's been called so many nice and not-so-nice things of late, I figured it would be fair to just put it to a vote. From today, therefore, and over the next three days, I shall post fave photos of the Captain. Please vote for your favourite (on the right, by day). Voting will be open forever, or at least until the season starts again.

But aside from that, a bit of news on Carlos Vela, whose Work Permit has just been approved. Wow, the UK Immigration Office really does work quite fast, I must say. What? Has it been like just a couple of days or something since we put up the application? Anyways, looks like good news. Any extra pair of hands (preferably legs) would be useful up front.
Finally, following from Hleb's complaint about the noise in London, his agent (who else) has now come out to talk about what an honour it is that his client is apparently the target of Real, "one of the greatest clubs in the world". This particular story suggests that Hleb's three years (has it really been three years?!) at the club have been trophyless years, which falls short of his ambitions. Maybe we've got the causal relationship wrong here. Maybe, just maybe, it has been his arrival that has been the cause of our hypo-trophyitis? Ah, who cares. Me says the future still looks bright. Chelski will amble to another season of close calls, Pool will be Pool circa 21st century, and Man U will be great competition.
