Silly slow sleepy day...

Well, not much happening, so lets just say that I got my Cesc Spain kit in anticipation of Euro 2008, so I'm rather pleased with myself. That's about all exciting happening it seems.

But, there is more news about Yaya wanting to play with his brother Kolo. As I’ve said earlier, that would really be interesting. He’s had a reasonable season with Barca, and while he may be good cover in the middle of the park, the question ultimately is whether he’s going to be overpriced.

The Sun’s also plucked this story out of their ears: of Arse being interested in a £20 million Mauro Zarate. Sheesh. Keep it going guys, we’re going to be linked with just about everyone here on in. Funny if he remains in Qatar...

Speaking of holding midfielders, Diarra has come out with his “I’m glad I left Arse” comments, which aren’t that big a surprise. So he’s left Chelski and Arse to play every week. But more importantly, he also knows Pompey aren’t exactly the team that will match his “ambitions”, so good luck to them as and when he decides to leave. Whatever, dude.

Something quite puzzling though: First Kranjcar’s made some really positive noises about staying at Pompey in the same article, i.e. they’re going to win the FA Cup for sure, and therefore play UEFA Cup football next season, and two seasons later, play in the Champions League; so one is left to wonder what the deal is with him. Second, the talk in the media seems that the FA Cup’s going to be a stroll for Pompey. I’d really beg to differ. The most important thing going into a final is form and momentum, and I’m sorry, but Pompey;s got none. The pressure is going to be one them, and there aren’t any signs that they have it in them to do the deed.

Urgh. Need sleep.
